Charming Maine wedding at The Mooring Bed & Breakfast in Georgetown, ME | Erin & Chris

Maine summers are a magical thing. One of the state mottos is “The Way Life Should Be” and this wedding is totally the way life should be. Erin and Chris’s planned a perfectly charming and classic Maine summer wedding topped off with killer vintage style! The Mooring Bed and Breakfast was the perfect spot to say I do and let the Maine coast show off a little.

As we arrived, Erin was still in hair and make up, so I took the time to explore the house. It’s been owned by the same family forever and now managed by the original owner’s great granddaughter Penny. Every corner has a personal and New England touch of magic. Penny has a couple sons who are lobstermen, offering the option of fresh caught lobster and wedding catering. This totally blew me away! Such an incredible way to have fresh and local food at your wedding.

Erin was an absolute show stopper in her tea-length wedding dress and vintage style. The polka dots paired with blue flowers in her hair?! PERFECTION. She also had all of her bridesmaids pick out their own style of dress, as long as it was vintage and light blue. Absolutely dreamy. Once everyone was ready, we headed outside for an emotional first look between Erin and Chris.

As Maine summers can get warm, we headed back into the house to take more photos and soak up the AC. Erin’s twin sister did all the flowers and headed out to get the ceremony site set up. The weather relented with a glorious Maine ocean breeze as Erin and Chris exchanged their heartfelt vows. Their wedding party met them at the end of the aisle for a cheers and hugs, which is always my favorite part of the day. We snuck off for a few more photos and then got Chris and Erin back to enjoy their cocktail hour (thank you first look!).

Dinner was INCREDIBLE. Everyone got their own lobster and it was a riot to watch the non Mainers try and navigate how to eat it. Dances were shared and Erin’s dad played a special song for her, leaving everyone in tears. As the dance floor hit, Chris and Erin snuck off to catch their breath and put some dancing shoes on! They tore it up as the sun set over the ocean the ocean and on a totally perfect day. The way life should be for sure.

It’s been what, 4 years since this wedding and it still holds such a wonderful and magical place in my heart. I will never get over Erin’s flawless style!! Erin and Chris, I miss you guys but have loved watching your fam grow! Thank you for this incredible day<3
