San Diego Makers Quarter Engagement Session | Lilli and Cole

When couples are stumped on where they should do their engagement photos, I always ask them what they would do on a normal date night. Lilli and Cole are huge craft cocktail fans, so we started their session in Downtown San Diego at You and Yours Distillery, one of their favorite spots. We contacted Y&Ys prior to the shoot to make sure they were ok with us shooting there and showed up right when they opened on a week day. Some places are more comfortable with this than others and showing up at their slowest times is always the best way to do it. This a also gave Lilli and Cole the full attention of the bartender, who created some seriously gorgeous and DELICIOUS cocktails for us. Huge thanks to all the lovely people at You and Yours.

After a drink or two, we headed out to explore the area around You and Yours, known as the Makers Quarter. A lot of creative and inspiring folks are starting to pop up around this spot and it was so much fun to check out all the murals. It seems like this area has been working really hard to create a beautiful and vibrant neighborhood, which seemed to perfectly mirror the dynamic between Lilli and Cole.

It was a perfect day to chat about Harry Potter and the different shapes ice cubes come in these days. Exploring new neighborhoods and making new friends are some of the best parts of my job!

Lilli and Cole got married in an intimate ceremony at the incredible Lodge at Torrey Pines. This venue is STUNNING and has the best craftsman details. It’s a must see and you can check it out HERE!
