How to throw a perfect tented backyard wedding. Rockport, MA | Brittany and Matt

I’ve said it once, I will say it a thousand times: I LOVE BACKYARD WEDDINGS. Besides the obvious savings on a venue, backyard weddings are a great way to have a personal wedding, in a setting that will be totally unique to you! It can really open up your possibilities on the big day and give you flexibility that some wedding venues may not offer. Brittany and Matt were able to throw the most personalized and perfect New England wedding, sharing the things they love with all the people they love most.

Brittney and Matt first met in high school, with sparks finally flying when they reconnected years later. After adding a perfect little girl to their family, they decided to make it official at home of Matt’s parents. Matt’s mom took charge of the decor, securing a tent for the reception and using flowers she grew in her own garden! If there is one thing I would say is a must do for a backyard wedding, it would be a tent. I also highly recommend having fun with your food options! They brought in Gourmet Delights Catering , who provided an incredible spread ranging from a stunning charcuterie to fresh, made to order pasta. Food that is entertaining is always a plus.

The entire day flowed in a natural and casual way. Stress remained low and Brittany and Matt seemed to really be able to enjoy themselves. At one point I found them removed from everyone and watching their guests have a rad time. Backyard weddings are truly magical and these two pulled it off flawlessly.

Brittany and Matt, thank you so so much for inviting me to be a part of such a perfect day. Home is where the heart is and such a great place to kick off your life together.
