Santa Barbara Funk Zone Engagement Sesh | Maxine and Kruze

Santa Barbara is the most perfect California town and Maxine and Kruze are the most perfect pair! They met working as camp counselors, which is totally the cutest. Maxine says: “We met while working at the Family Vacation Center at UCSB. He was a surf instructor and I took care of all the babies. Between shifts, he would bring me little gifts and love notes. One night, a bunch of staffers went down to the beach and had a bonfire. Everyone played songs on the guitar and shared beers while watching the shooting stars. Later, we both told each other how this was the moment we knew. Laying in each others arms, surrounded by friends, looking up at the stars”

I met up with Maxine and Kruze at their house so we could get some photos first with their pups! If you have pets, I always love getting to start in your house so we can get some photos with them. From there, we explored around their neighborhood for a bit before heading down to the Funk Zone. It was an absolutely perfect, California day and we just took our time checking out the area. We stopped for a beer at the brewery who will be supplying beer for the wedding and they showed me the wedding venue as we headed to the beach. Like the rest of the day, the sunset was perfect and showing off colors that blew all of our minds. We then all got some killer burgers and I took the train back home. I can’t wait to do it all again in October!
