3 Magical Dried Elopement Bouquets | Nancy Lobo Designs. San Diego, CA
In these days of Covid, many couples are wrestling with rescheduling, revamping and completely replanning their big day. A popular choice has been to pivot to an elopement, as every day brings new uncertainties about parties and gatherings of people. One thing I have found with elopements, is that the travel of the flowers can be really tricky! Trying to keep a bouquet in water for a long drive or even on a plane is finicky. Because of this, I was so excited when my sweet friend Nancy told me about everything she is doing with dried flowers!
First of all, she sells an amazing variety of dried flowers that you can do whatever you want with! Pretty much every single item looks amazing by itself in a jar, but also allows any flower design novice an easy way to put together an amazing bouquet on their own. She also creates full dried bouquets, which can be easily shipped and preserved. In addition to this, she does a dried flower box, where she will send a few different things each month to make your own bouquets with.
I love getting to see all the stuff Nancy creates and always jump at the chance to shoot with her! These dried bouquets are such a great option for elopements when you need something that will travel well. Nancy also suggests adding fresh flowers to the dried ones once you’ve reached your location. After the wedding it seamlessly transitions into a perfect reminder of your wedding day that you can easily display and keep around.
For this shoot, she created 3 different bouquets for 3 different vibes! From a gorgeous bouquet in all white, to a fully rainbow in amazing muted tones. I was also in awe of the amazing palm leaf installation she made. The baskets pulled the whole look together for 3 dreamy looks.
A huge thank you to Nancy for making magic with me. If you are a Covid couple who is pivoting to an elopement, I highly recommend checking her out for your bouquet needs!!
