Balboa Cactus Garden Picnic Engagement | Marcail and Luis

San Diego is magical. I love that it has so many magical spaces right in the city that totally make you forget where you are. The Cactus Garden in Balboa Park is totally one of these spots. While I love adventuring out to the desert, it’s amazing having similar little getaways so accessible.

Marcail and Luis were getting antsy at the idea of planning a huge wedding and wanted to see if they could put together an intimate wedding with family in a month. I always recommend engagement shoots, even if it’s days away from your wedding! Have a test run before the big day is ALWAYS beneficial and plus its a great chance to have a date night with your boo amidst the planning!

We met up in Balboa Park for a cute lil picnic. The champagne glasses that Luis and Marcail brought to their engagement shoot may or may not have broken en route. Luis may or may not have cut his finger on some glass and may or may not have bled for 75% of the shoot. ⁣Despite the carnage, Luis insisted that he was fine and we continued on with a cute picnic in Balboa Park. The bottle of champagne that did not break came to the rescue and these cutes just kept on cute'n! We saw some rad cacti, played some Millenial Loteria and got pumped for their New Years Wedding coming up in a few weeks!
