Read MoreWe had this amazing winter themed wedding (I love all things holiday and string/twinkle lights) planned for 12/19/20 but Covid had other plans. Most of my family is from South America, and due to the travel restrictions and the economic toll it took on them, they are unable to fly out and join us. And wanting to be considerate of safety of everyone, we decided to scrap the whole thing and just do something small in our backyard while we still have outdoor weather. We love halloween and figured a hallowedding would make for a fun story.
With masks at the ready, we met up at Lake Cuyamaca for their engagement photos as the world started to slowly wake up. This was such a great spot, as there were very few people around and we were easily able to get to private and beautiful places for photos. It’s such a great and easy spot to get epic photos without having to hike or work up a sweat. Sunset on the lake makes for the dreamiest light and I absolutely can not wait to come back to this spot.

I always recommend engagement shoots, even if it’s days away from your wedding! Have a test run before the big day is ALWAYS beneficial and plus its a great chance to have a date night with your boo amidst the planning!

Read MoreEngagement shoots are such an important part of the photographer-couple relationship. I like to think of the engagement shoot as a practice run before the big day. Having your photo taken can seem intimating and I love being able to show my couples how fun and easy it can be.
Read MoreBalboa Park is a totally iconic part of San Diego, and I’m pretty sure Michelle and Brent are totally an iconic part of my life now. In the early days of their falling in love, they met up at Panama 66 pretty regularly. This was the perfect place to start their engagement session. We grabbed a beer or two and Michelle and Brent basically couldn’t stop grinning at each other. These cutie angel babies seem to totally sparkle around each other, while also just being total goofs. We had so much fun wandering around Balboa and I can definitely can not freaking wait for their wedding at BLDG 177. Is it April yet?!
