Winter Wedding at Olio. Peabody, MA | Laura & Jennifer
This was a wedding that I looked forward for a long time and it did NOT disappoint!! New England can be tricky during the winter, but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky on this crisp February day. We all started out in Salem, with the brides getting ready at separate hotels. After emotionally opening gifts from each other, Laura came over to The Merchant (originally built in 1789!!) for their first look and portraits. It’s such a beautiful hotel, mixing classic New England architecture with modern colors and patterns.
We made the quick trip to Peabody and arrived to Olio to get Laura and Jen married! In Olio’s gorgeous floor to ceiling window light, the brides committed to each other and a life full of love and animals. Not a dry eye in the room, you could feel the love, support and pride pouring right out of everyone there. After a million hugs and congratulations, the reception kicked off with the couple’s first dance and speeches of admiration from their siblings. Plush Music set the dance floor on fire and the party got GOING. Anyone who needed a break from dancing hammed it up in the photo booth or refueled with donuts and rainbow wedding cake.
The defining moment of the night had to be when Plush started playing Wilson Phillips. EVERYONE joined in for a totally epic sing along, and if there is one correct way to enter a life time of wedded bliss, it’s definitely via sing along.
Everyone present this day was so thankful to be involved. Jen and Laura are magic together and it was amazing to see them celebrated and surrounded by love. Thank you two angels for trusting me and including me in your magic!
