Romantic and Elegant Halloween Wedding Inspo | The Wood Shed Venue. San Diego, CA

When Stefanie of Witty Bash told me she was planning a Halloween Party and asked if I would photograph it, I immediately said yes! Halloween is SO much fun and she would let me do all the bridal styling, while Ashley Renuart and her focused on decor. Ashley is known for her incredible installations and Native Poppy provided the incredible floral centerpiece.

My brain went right to Bride of Frankenstein, with a refined, elegant look. Bridal Showcase {one of my favorite San Diego wedding dress shops!! Mother/daughter owned and run and they are the SWEETEST) provided the perfect, lacy dress that gave off victorian ghost vibes. The original plan was to do a beehive with flowers up each side to speak to the Bride of Frankenstein’s iconic hair.

When we arrived at The Wood Shed that day, Stefanie had a bag of fake bugs that I grabbed a few of as we went to get Tiff ready. We landed on the centipede in her hair and it felt like a fun and subtle way to add a little creepiness without being gross.

Blue Oak Charcuterie put together the most incredible board that was just as delicious as it was gorgeous. Sugar and Scribe made a scary delicious cake. Moody sugar is always a good time! The Wood Shed was such a great spot for this shoot, with its dark walls, moody greenery corner and tons of natural light.
