When JJ’s House reached out to Tiff to see if she wanted to collaborate on some dresses, she thought this would be perfect opportunity to indulge in some wedding fun to hold her over until planning could resume. We also agreed that this would be a great chance to do some Disney Princess inspired bridal looks. We teamed up with our favorite fairy godmother Tiny Victories on flowers and made some magic! Alyssa and Andy had a huge party at one of San Diego’s most popular wedding venues planned. Friends and family were going to fly in from all over to celebrate. As it continues do do, Covid made them completely reconsider their plans. Out of concern of saftey, Alyssa and Andy ultimately made the tough decision to rethink all of their plans. Remember the bliss-free lives we were all living back in February?! Where we thought planning anything would be totally feasible?! While Covid naturally snuck in, forcing J & B to pivot and reconsider their plans, we were still able to do their engagement session at a place they love to go together: Balboa Park! They live near by and frequently take walks together to the park. The Spanish Art Village is one of their favorite parts and an area of Balboa that I don’t make it too very often, so I was very excited when the suggested it! With so many fun pops of color, every direction you look, it makes for the perfect spot for photos.

We had this amazing winter themed wedding (I love all things holiday and string/twinkle lights) planned for 12/19/20 but Covid had other plans. Most of my family is from South America, and due to the travel restrictions and the economic toll it took on them, they are unable to fly out and join us. And wanting to be considerate of safety of everyone, we decided to scrap the whole thing and just do something small in our backyard while we still have outdoor weather. We love halloween and figured a hallowedding would make for a fun story.

Colorful Pixar Themed Elopement in Southern California Mountains. Idyllwild, CA | Sarah & Joe

Sarah and Joe, along with a few close family members and friends, all gathered at the Airbnb on a totally perfect day in the mountains of Souther California. Amazing little details were worked into every corner of the day. The show stopping piece was a replica of the house from Pixar’s “Up” adorned with flowers and TONS of color. Just as important were all the small details, from the chairs adorning the top of the cake (again from “Up”, to the guitar from Pixar’s “Coco” that Sarah gave Joe on their originally planned wedding day
